Welcome to Laurus Academy.
Laurus Academy is a K-8 college-bound school located in the heart of Southfield, Michigan. The academy welcomes over 600 students each day and offers them a challenging and rigorous curriculum in an environment that promotes high academic achievement and a strong moral focus. Laurus Academy students are able to enjoy a school that is safe and orderly, and which promotes not only academic growth, but also strong moral values and responsible citizenship.
Our vision at Laurus Academy is “To better educate more children,” and our staff is committed to the mission of becoming one of the finest K-8 schools in the country by providing an academically-challenging, character-based education to every student.
Each day at Laurus Academy begins with a student assembly in which students recite the Pledge of Allegiance, sing a patriotic song, and recite the following Student Creed:
“I am a Laurus student. I strive to achieve academic excellence.
I exemplify high moral character. I work diligently to prepare for
the future. I know my success in school and in life is dependent on
my own efforts and the choices I make.”
